By Padma Kathi | www.goodlive.in

πŸ›’ Ingredients:

  • πŸ₯œ Raw cashews – 100 gm
  • πŸ’§ Water – for soaking & blending
  • πŸ§‚ Seasonings of your choice – salt, pepper, chilli flakes, garlic, herbs

πŸ₯£ Method:

  1. Soak the cashews in water for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  2. Discard the soaking water. Blend the cashews coarsely with a little fresh water.
  3. Transfer to a clean glass bowl and loosely cover (do not seal).
  4. Leave the mixture at room temperature for 8–12 hours to naturally ferment.
  5. 🧠 You’ll know it’s fermented when it gives off a slightly sour, cheesy aroma.
  6. Once fermented, add seasonings (spices, herbs, lemon juice, garlic).
  7. Mix well and store in the fridge. Ready to enjoy!

✅ Tips:

  • πŸ•Š️ In colder climates, fermentation may take longer — be patient.
  • πŸ§„ Add roasted garlic, herbs, or lemon zest for more flavor.
  • 🍞 Use as a spread on toast, in wraps, or on salads.
  • ❄️ Store in fridge and use within 3–5 days for best results.
